Shahi-Masjid
The Shahi Mosque is the main mosque in the town of Chitral. It is located on the bank of the Chitral river adjacent to the Chitral Fort. It was the principal mosque of Chitral at the time of the existence of the State of Chitral.[4][5] The mosque was built on the orders of His Highness Shuja ul-Mulk in 1924.[1][6]

Shujaul Mulk was the Mehtar of Chitral or more to say the ruler of Chitral from 1895 to 1936. The building of the Masjid is truly an amazing piece of architecture with pure white marbles and engraved art. The architecture truly represents the culture and tradition of Chitral aristocrats.

The construction of the Masjid is truly an incredible piece of architecture with white marbles and engraved works of art. The architecture truly represents the culture and tradition of the aristocrats of Chitral.
The Shahi Masjid has a beautiful and an eye-catching structure which is a remarkable feat of architectural mastery of that time. However, the historic building is in need of repairs to preserve its structure. Though some of the damaged portion has been repaired, the work could not be completed due to shortage of funds.
